A New Hybrid Dynamic FMECA with Decision-Making Methodology: A Case Study in an Agri-Food Company

The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is often used to improve a system’s reliability. This paper proposes new approach that aims overcome the most critical defects of traditional FMEA. methodology combines Entropy Best Worst Method (BWM) with EDAS System Dynamics, FMECA: EN-B-ED Dynamic FMECA. main innovation point proposed work presence an unknown factor (Cost) allows obtain objective weighted factor, risk index when machine failure occurs. criticality analysis has been carried out using software (Vensim PLE x64) simulate Dynamics models identify corrective actions evaluate possible implementation these actions. applied case study in relevant Italian company agri-food sector.
